Are COVID-19 tests required to travel to Uganda?

  • Anyone arriving to Uganda will be required to present a negative PCR test, no older than 72 hours.
  • Arrivals from the UK, Kenya, India, South Africa, South Sudan, Tanzania, Turkey, Ethiopia, the UAE and the USA, will be tested again upon arrival, at their own expense, unless they are vaccinated.
  • Arriving travelers to Uganda will be screened.

Is public transportation open in Uganda?

Public transportation in Uganda is suspended, only essential travel is permitted.

Are the restaurants and bars open in Uganda?

Restaurants in Uganda are open under social distancing restrictions. Bars are closed.

Are businesses and attractions open in Uganda?

  • A nightly curfew is in place between 19:00 and 5:30.
