Spain has opened its borders with EU member countries. Domestically, most restrictions have been lifted.

Can I travel to Spain?

  • It is possible to travel to Spain from EU and Schengen member countries, as well as arrivals from the following countries:

    • Australia 🇦🇺
    • China 🇨🇳
    • New Zealand 🇳🇿
    • Rwanda 🇷🇼
    • Singapore 🇸🇬
    • South Korea 🇰🇷
    • Thailand 🇹🇭
  • Other exception can be made for family members of Spanish citizens, business travelers, students and other exceptions.
  • All arrivals are required to fill in an FCS form beforehand.
  • The border with Portugal is open again.
  • All arrivals from South Africa and Brazil are banned except for citizens and permanent residents of Spain and Andorra.

Do I need to go into quarantine when arriving to Spain?

Permitted arrivals to Spain from India, Botswana, Brazil, Colombia, Comoros, Ghana, Kenya, Mozambique, Peru, South Africa, Tanzania, Zambia, and Zimbabwe, will be required to self-quarantine for 10 days, and may end early if test result on the 7th day is negative.

Are COVID-19 tests required to travel to Spain?

  • Anyone arriving to Spain will undergo a temperature check.
  • All arrivals from high-risk areas will be required to fill a health control form, including an RT-PCR test, no older than 72 hours.
  • At the moment, this applies to most arrivals.

Is public transportation open in Spain?

  • Public transportation in Spain is operating in reduced capacity.
  • Many regions have implemented regional entry and exit restrictions.

Are the restaurants and bars open in Spain?

Bars and restaurants are open under social distancing requirements. Restrictions vary between regions.

Are businesses and attractions open in Spain?

  • Non-essential businesses and attractions in Spain are open, under social distancing requirements. Restrictions vary between regions.
  • A nationwide nightly curfew is in place between 23:00 and 6:00.

Do I need to wear a face mask in Spain?

Wearing face masks is required in all public places, except in beaches.
