South Korea's visa issuance has resumed for some countries. Domestically, measures are in place to prevent the virus spread.

Can I travel to South Korea?

  • Visa-free arrivals have been suspended, and applying for visas in advance is required for most countries. Tourist visas are mostly being declined.
  • Arrivals from countries eligible for K-ETA are exempt from the entry ban, however, it is required to obtain entry permission in advance.

Do I need to go into quarantine when arriving to South Korea?

  • Anyone arriving to South Korea is required to undergo 7 days of self-quarantine or quarantine in a national facility.
  • Vaccinated arrivals who registered their overseas vaccination history at the Q-code system are exempt.

Are COVID-19 tests required to travel to South Korea?

  • Most arrivals to South Korea must present a negative PCR test, no older than 48 hours.
  • A PCR test and health questionnaire are required when arriving in South Korea.
  • While the quarantine time, arrivals will undergo 3-4 PCR tests.
  • If any symptoms appear, it will be required to use a health tracking app for 14 days.
