Finland is allowing travel to and from some countries, while internal restrictions are gradually lifted.

Can I travel to Finland?

  • Anyone arriving from the following countries can travel to Finland for leisure:

    • Australia ๐Ÿ‡ฆ๐Ÿ‡บ
    • New Zealand ๐Ÿ‡ณ๐Ÿ‡ฟ
    • South Korea ๐Ÿ‡ฐ๐Ÿ‡ท
    • Singapore ๐Ÿ‡ธ๐Ÿ‡ฌ
    • Thailand ๐Ÿ‡น๐Ÿ‡ญ
    • Rwanda ๐Ÿ‡ท๐Ÿ‡ผ
    • Iceland ๐Ÿ‡ฎ๐Ÿ‡ธ
  • Non-Finnish family members of Finish citizens and residents can also enter Finland, including unmarried partners, based on a declaration. In some cases, additional information may be requested.
  • Arrivals from Schengen Area countries except from Iceland are restricted to enter Finland.
  • Flights from South Africa are suspended.

Do I need to go into quarantine when arriving to Finland?

  • Anyone arriving to Finland will undergo self-quarantine for 14 days or until test result upon arrival is negative.
  • Workers arriving from Norway are exempt from this rule.
  • Arrivals from the UK, Ireland and South Africa must self-quarantine for 14 days.
  • Travelers from Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, South Korea, Vatican City, Rwanda, and Thailand who are citizens and residents, are exempt from these rules.

Are COVID-19 tests required to travel to Finland?

  • All arrivals are required to present negative PCR test, no older than 72 hours.
  • All arrivals will be tested again upon entry.
  • Arrivals from low-risk countries are exempt.
  • It is possible to shorten the quarantine period if taking a third test within 72 hours of arrival.
  • Travelers from Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, South Korea, Vatican City, Rwanda, and Thailand who are citizens and residents, are exempt from these rules.

Is public transportation open in Finland?

Public transportation in Finland is operating in reduced capacity.

Are the restaurants and bars open in Finland?

Restaurants, cafes and bars are open, under certain limitations.

Are businesses and attractions open in Finland?

  • Non-essential businesses and attractions in most of Finland are open, under social distancing regulations.
  • In high-risk areas, only essential businesses are open.

Do I need to wear a face mask in Finland?

Wearing face masks is recommended when social distancing can't be maintained.
