Top 10 Must-See Attractions In Dubai

The city of Dubai, the largest in the United Arab Emirates, has quickly become one of the world’s greatest tourist destinations.

In addition to its beautiful beaches, world-class hotels, restaurants, other facilities that are world-class and warm climate, tourists are attracted to Dubai’s many landmarks, including buildings like Burj Khalifa and The Dubai Fountain, as well as amazing attractions like the Wild Wadi Water Park.

Burj Khalifa

While it may not be one of a tourist's top must-see attractions in Dubai, for us locals, there is no better place to take visitors.

For those who haven't had a chance to visit yet, The Burj Khalifa is by far one of the most impressive things you will ever see. When it first opened in 2010, it was dubbed The Tallest Building in the World (although that title has since been snatched away) and while that may have changed since then with other new world-record towers popping up around town and across different cities, there's nothing like seeing it all up close.

The Dubai Fountain

This free music and water show, designed by WET Design—the same company that worked on the Bellagio Fountains in Las Vegas—is one of our favorites Must-See Attractions in Dubai. It’s located right off of Sheikh Zayed Road in Downtown Dubai.

The show begins every night at 8:00 PM and goes until 11:00 PM. It usually consists of three separate shows intermixed with popular songs and an entertaining story. We highly recommend going at least 1 time!

Bring a picnic or order some food from nearby restaurants if you want to stay for dinner – most people go early so you can see it all before sunset.

Sheikh Zayed Road

Also known as E11 and referred to locally as The Coast Road, Sheikh Zayed Road is a highway in Dubai that starts in Bur Dubai near Bab Al Shams Desert Resort and ends at Abu Dhabi city.

It passes many landmarks including Jumeirah Mosque, Burj Al Arab Hotel, Burj Khalifa, and Business Bay.

The total length of Sheikh Zayed Road is about 63 kilometers (39 mi) long. This road was named after The Great Ruler of UAE – Shaikh Zayed Bin Sultan Al Nahyan.

The Palm Jumeirah

Located on an artificial archipelago off of Dubai’s coast, The Palm Jumeirah is one of the emirate’s most well-known landmarks.

The Palm is a spectacular array of landscaped villas, luxury hotels, and high-end shopping malls.

This amazing attraction doesn’t take long to explore and it’s hard to believe it was created entirely out of land reclaimed from the sea.

Even though The Palm has been around for a while now, there are still plenty of new and exciting ways to experience it. For example, you can learn about its history during a guided tour at Atlantis, visit its aquarium or see a movie in Cineplex (the world's largest underwater movie theater).

The Dubai Mall

Home to more than 1,200 stores, The Dubai Mall is a true destination for retail fans. The massive center is surrounded by a boat-shaped body of water that welcomes you in with lots of palm trees and open spaces where children can play.

Inside, you’ll find Burj Khalifa within the mall itself, just off its ground floor; take an elevator up one of its 828 stories to see what it looks like from above! Alternatively, head down to one of The Dubai Mall’s 4 basement levels (and 2 sub-basement levels) for your choice of several dozen restaurants and eateries.

Burj Al Arab

This iconic hotel is known as the most luxurious and prestigious hotel in the world! Built on an artificial island and linked to Jumeirah Beach, it has a distinctive sail-like shape that resembles a ship’s sail.

There are 900 steps leading up to its rooftop bar where guests can have breathtaking views of Dubai’s skyline. It even has its helipad for quick getaways!

The two restaurants by celebrity chef Jean-Georges Vongerichten are sure to tempt you with their luxurious menu of international cuisine. All rooms in Burj Al Arab are luxury suites with an elegant modern design, which feature floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking either beach or city views.

Dubai Frame

The new attraction will serve as a landmark, introducing people to landmarks in Dubai The 150-meter-tall building will be connected to Zabeel Park by bridges.
