Malmö - Day 1

Malmö, Sweden’s Gateway to Europe (and a Great Road-Trip Stop): Malmö is a city that often gets overlooked when people discuss great cities for an urban vacation.

However, with Scandinavia, Germany, and Italy so close at hand—not to mention London—it’s worth spending some time exploring what Malmö has to offer.

Trollhättan >> Göteborg - Day 2

Trollhättan to Göteborg : Trollhättan is a small city, which makes it perfect for day trips.

Stroll around town before you head out to see some of its most popular landmarks, like Den Svenska Turistföreningen (The Swedish Tourist Association) and Tjornodammen.

The former is known for its incredible art nouveau architecture, while Tjornodammen is a popular beach frequented by locals during warm weather.

Stockholm - Day 3

Stockholm - Leaving Stockholm, continue east on highway (riksväg) E4. You will pass through three distinct topographical regions: from south to north, coastal lowlands, central highlands, and Lapland.

The road runs parallel with several large lakes throughout southern Sweden.

From northern Dalarna, road E4 follows Blekinge lake into southernmost Skåne.

To Gothenburg, Visby, or Norrköping - Day 4

The Scenic Drive from Stockholm to Gothenburg The route from Stockholm (Sweden’s capital city) down to Gothenburg is one of Sweden’s most scenic drives.

Along with being incredibly beautiful, it passes through numerous towns and cities worth visiting (and if you’re just driving through then you can still stop and grab some lunch or a cup of coffee) - So Gothenburg, Visby, or Norrköping. For day four of your trip, you have an array of options to choose from.

After checking out Stockholm for one night; then head down to visit Gothenburg for two nights; and lastly, visit Visby or Norrköping for two nights.

Gotland - Day 5

Gotland - Visby: Have you been looking for an excuse to hop over to Europe, but aren’t quite sure where you want to go? Well, look no further.

We have one word for you: Gotland. The Swedish island is perfect for anyone wanting a relaxed atmosphere, beautiful scenery, and plenty of unique things to do.
